Boys bring home the silverware
Pollok United boys returned triumphant from their Easter outing in Blackpool at the weekend.
They took part in the U16s and U17s competitions, emerging Challenge Cup Winners in the U16s and fourth place in the U17s, taking home two trophies. Coach Paul Regan praised the teams’ success, saying: “We were victorious over teams from Scotland, England, Ireland and Holland while we beat Greig City (England) in the final with goals from Brogan Murphy, Declan Smith and Josh Martin.
“The boys did themselves proud and excelled against teams considerably older and more physical than themselves.”
