Bully Wee boss hails ‘terrific victory’

CLYDE had the result of the weekend in the third division with an emphatic 3-0 away victory to knock Elgin City off the top of the table.

Jim Duffy was understandably proud of his young squad for bouncing back immediately after their disappointing home defeat to Queen’s Park.

The Broadwood boss said: “It was a great result for us, we played very well and it was a terrific victory for the boys to get, and they certainly deserved it.

“The start was a bit flat, I don’t know if it was because of the long journey up there, but we managed to get a fairly early goal, and then the second gave us a lift.

“We were resilient and took our chances when we got them.”
