Carluke Angling Club members enjoy barbecue and fun day
CARLUKE Angling Club members had a smoking good time, as fly fishers enjoyed a barbecue and fun day at Leemuir, Water, Carluke, just months before the club celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2012.
Members, including president Jimmy Walker, enjoyed a barbecue with food including burgers and sausages, and listening to a fine speech by 85-year-old founder member Adam Scott.
Adam, a member for 59 years, spoke about the club’s history and was delighted to receive a commemorative gold medal in recognition of his amazing service.
