Carluke cyclist Sean Gordon recognised

THE outstanding efforts of teenage Carluke biker Sean Gordon in winning the overall prize in the 2012 Scottish Cyclocross series have been praised by Dominic Kennedy, depute head at St Aidan’s High School in Wishaw.

As reported previously in the Gazette, Sean (17), of St Luke’s Avenue, sealed his championship victory with a solid third place in the final event of the series against the cream of Scotland’s junior cyclists.

And Dominic complimented the sixth year St Aidan’s High School pupil by saying: “We are not surprised that Sean is doing so well.

“He shows terrific endeavour and dedication to everything he does in school and beyond.”
