Carluke rally driver Gary McDermaid won Scottish Hillclimb Championship class in home-made car
SPENDING five gruelling months building his own Peugeot 106 rally car last winter has paid off in spectacular style for Carluke driving ace Gary McDermaid.
For, after a terrific 2012 season in which he’s had a total of eight class victories in nine races, the talented 25-year-old has won class A1 in the Scottish Hillclimb Championship with one round still remaining.
“I’m absolutely delighted to win the title early,” Gary said.
