Carluke Rovers into fourth round of Scottish Junior Cup

Carluke Rovers produced a fantastic performance in atrocious conditions at the John Cumming Stadium on Saturday to beat Dundee cracks Broughty Athletic 2-1 and progress to the last 32 of the Emirates Junior Cup.

“This is my best result as Rovers manager,” said Carluke boss Colin Slater.

“We deserved to win. The weather was horrendous with the driving rain, but despite that we still tried to pass the ball about.

“Broughty played the long ball a lot but we dealt with it.”
