Lesmahagow’s home match against Maryhill was also a victim of the weather. However, the referee’s decision to call off the match did not go down well with ’Gow boss Robert Irving.

In Central Division 2 Forth Wanderers were defeated 2-1 by Royal Albert last Saturday at a wet Kingshill Park.

And the second time this season, Biggar Rugby Club were on the receiving end of a heavy defeat by Selkirk when the teams met last Saturday.

Like the first meeting back in September (when Selkirk won 43-23 at Hartreemill), the Borders side took a four-try bonus point in their 26-3 victory.
