There was massive disappointment for Whitey and his players in losing the Central Division 2 match 4-1 to Benburb, as Rovers turned in a disappointing display in front of around 150 fans – three times Rovers’ average attendance.

But the gaffer hopes that punters will continue to back his team in future weeks as Rovers battle to achieve promotion to Central Division 1 this season.

“We didn’t turn up on Saturday,” Whitey said. “The players’ attitude wasn’t right and I was very disappointed in our play.
