The Tigers beat Edinburgh Eagles 14-10 in the final on Saturday, held at GHA Rugby Club in Giffnock.

And they will now play in the 2011 Carnegie Challenge Cup — mixing it with the game's biggest clubs including Wigan Warriors, Bradford Bulls and St Helens.

Team manager Bobby Martin is delighted for the hard-working players and coach Morgan Martin.

He said: "We played well and deserved to win. Morgan did a

fantastic job with the players.

"We only formed in 2007 so to win the championship in such a short space of time is unbelievable.

"We now have five Scotland A internationals, which shows the club is growing all the time.

"It's fair to say we had quite a celebration afterwards!"

The Tigers lost out to the Eagles in extra time in last season's final but were on form to avoid the same fate this time round.
