Carluke youngster Louie McGhee among 16 children who will have their designs on the International Children’s Games calendar and Christmas card

Kirkton Primary pupil Louie was a guest of honour at an awards ceremony, at ravenscraig, to celebrate being one of the lucky winners.

Kirkton Primary pupil Louie McGhee was among 16 kids from across Lanarkshire who were guests of honour at an awards ceremony following their successful designs for the International Children’s Games calendar and Christmas cards.

The awards bash, which was held at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, saw Louie, the other winners and their families enjoy a performance by gymnasts from Cathkin High School, music by the Calderglen High saxophone quartet and a dance display by pupils from Airdrie Academy.

The 12 winning calendar entries have been framed and will be displayed at venues throughout Lanarkshire.
