Eighteen-year-old Michelle took gold at the Sainsbury’s 2014 School Games held in Manchester earlier this month. Representing Scotland at the competition, Michelle won all her fights by Ippon, which is the perfect score in judo.

The victory meant that Michelle bettered her efforts at last year’s event.

In 2013 Michelle won silver in the girls’ +70kg category.
