Carluke’s Ryan Murdoch picked for Scotland under-15 football squad
THE heart of Carluke teenager Ryan Murdoch pounded with anxiety as he opened an envelope sent to his home address by national football team selectors.
But Ryan (14), of Milton Crescent, had no reason to be nervous as the letter inside revealed the news he’d been praying for – his selection in a Scotland under-15s representative squad.
Ryan, a star midfielder with Hamilton Accies Boys Club, said: “The letter arrived at my house last Tuesday morning, when it was just me and the family dog Archie at home due to the school holidays.
