Carluke’s Scotia TKD club wins a world record

IT’S BEEN a truly incredible few weeks for everyone associated with Carluke’s Scotia TKD Club!

After winning an unbelievable 47 medals at the TUK British Championships in Stratford-upon-Avon, the successful members were part of a 428-strong group which claimed a Guinness World Record of the largest taekwon-do display in a single venue. That event, just 19 miles away in Coventry, was led by 2012 Olympic taekwon-do gold medallist Jade Jones.

“Everyone is really excited to have been part of a successful world record bid,” said Scotia TKD press officer Fiona Trainer.

“It’s not the kind of thing you do every day.
