Chances go abegging at Berwick

The Bully Wee left with a point after the one-all draw but will have been the more disappointed of the two sides after seeing a number of chances go begging.

Duffy said: “We played well and were unfortunate not to get a result. We changed the formation to try something different - we’ve not always had these players all available at the same time.

“The pitch was very bobbly and not in the best condition so it was a matter of adapting our style to suit the conditions.”

The Broadwood side were due to clock up more miles last night by making the long trip north to Elgin.

Duffy continued: “Our last three away games have been very long trips - down to Berwick there at the weekend and up to Elgin and Arbroath before that.

“This will be another one but we just have to get on with it and keep our focus.”

Saturday sees Queen’s Park visit Broadwood as the stadium hosts its last game this season.

Duffy added: “They’re a very good side, I was very impressed with them and they’re obviously still chasing for a place in the playoffs.

“It’ll be extremely difficult to get a result but, with it being our last home game of the season we want to finish up on a positive note.”

Marc McCusker, Jamie McCluskey, Gavin Brown and Aleksandrs Gramovics are all carrying injuries.
