Glasgow City head of youth Amy McDonald added: “It shows that with hard work and dedication, along with a lot of talent, there can be opportunities at the very highest level for players at this club.

“Not many 16-year-olds have the chance to head to Germany at the end of January and compete in a tournament with some of the very best teams and players in Europe, and that is now what is in front for Megan.

“Our club does not have a history of simply throwing young players into the first team for the sake of it.”
