Clyde lose points with one slip

CLYDE failed to score against Annan Athletic for the third time this season and just like their last visit to Galabank in August all it took was one mistake for the hosts to collect all three points.

Back in the summer it was goalkeeper Filip Mentel who threw a tame Steven Sloan header into his own net, and on Saturday defender Jason Marr, who this week agreed to stay at Broadwood until the end of the season, was the unlucky victim of circumstance.

Midway through the second half Marr slipped on the quagmire of a pitch trying to cut out an Aaron Muirhead cross and the ball fell kindly for Sean O’Connor to fire the only goal of the game past David Crawford.
