Clydesdale bowlers Greg McLaughlin and Kimberley Harrison win for Scotland

f TEENAGE Clydesdale bowlers Greg McLaughlin and Kimberley Harrison were part of the Scotland team which defeated senior opponents up to 10 years older to win their annual match against North of England under-25s.

The 24-player Scots under-17 team – of which Coalburn lad Greg (15) and Carluke girl Kimberley (16) were the only Clydesdale players – triumphed by 129 shots to 112 shots overall after six rinks against their much more experienced rivals.

Greg’s proud dad William, who watched the victory in Newcastle on September 18, said: “The Scots were playing against grown men and gave them a doing.
