Clydesdale kids enjoy triathlon taster sessions

FOLLOWING on from the fantastic Olympics and in preparation for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Clydesdale youngsters have been taking part in the emerging sport of triathlon.

The event, organised by South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, saw hundreds of youngsters tackling the Olympic sport which saw the Brownlee brothers win gold and bronze respectively for Team GB this summer.

The swimming, cycling and running stages saw the kids from across Clydesdale trying to emulate their Olympic heroes - from Rebecca Adlington in the pool to Bradley Wiggins and Mo Farah in the cycling and running respectively..

More than 450 eight to 11-year-olds made their way to Lanark Lifestyles Centre for a hands-on experience of the fast-paced sport and, cheered along by their friends and teachers, they swam, cycled and ran their way around.
