Colts on the box

MEMBERS of a Cumbernauld football team visited STV’s headquarters in Glasgow to present a £1000 donation to the STV Appeal.

The Cumbernauld Colts all put in the effort last month to raise the impressive amount for the charity campaign which will help children living in poverty in Scotland.

The football club had players running in the Cumbernauld 10K and also got all the club’s members to bring a pound to training to boost their fundraising.

A spokesman for the Cumbernauld Colts said: “We are committed to helping those less fortunate and are delighted to be able to support the STV Appeal.

It’s a huge thanks to our parents, players and officials who supported this fundraising initiative.”

Gemma Stackpool and Rachel McGoldrick from the club’s under-15 girls squad, along with David McGoldrick from the Cumbernauld Colts, presented a cheque for £1000 to STV’s Raman Bhardwaj on October 11.
