Crawforddyke Primary wins Cross Country contest

Pupils from Crawforddyke Primary School won the top primary school prize at Law and District Amateur Athletics Club's annual Clydesdale Schools Cross Country at Moor Park, Carluke.

Lying snow and freezing temperatures did not seem to hinder the young people, who performed very n-icely indeed – despite the freezing temperatures they also had to tackle.

The primary school prizes went to Crawforddyke PS 1st, St Athanasius PS 2nd, Biggar PS 3rd, while secondary school honours went to Biggar HS 1st, Our Lady's HS 2nd and Lanark Grammar 3rd. Walston took the small Primary Schools prize.
