Cumbernauld swimmers make the grade

CUMBERNAULD’S young swimmers took part in the Autumn Graded meet, this was their first competition of the new season.

The following swimmers won medals: Lauren Addyman - 4th 50 fly, 50 backstroke, 100 IM, 5th breastroke; Emma Gemmell - 5th 50 fly; Michael Flynn - 4th 50 fly; Tegan Kerr - 2nd 50 backstroke, 3rd 100 IM, 50 freestyle, 4th 200 freestyle, 5th breastroke; Mairi Callan - 3rd 50 fly, 6th 50 breastroke; Hannah Frobisher - 4th 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, 6th 100 IM; Finlay Sword - 4th 200 freestyle; Adam Dempsey - 3rd 50 fly, 4th 100 IM, 5th 200 freestyle; Jake Lindsay - 4th 50 breastroke; Craig Greenock - 4th 50 fly; Duncan McKinney - 1st 50 backstroke; The mixed 8-11 years team 4th in freestyle relay; Morgan Dillon - 2nd 50 backstroke, 3rd 50 fly, 100 IM, 6th 50 freestyle; Niamh Allison - 5th 50 breastroke; Sarah Frobisher - 3rd 50 freestyle, 100 IM, 5th 50 backstroke; Daniel Fisher - 3rd 50 backstroke, 100 IM, 5th 50 breastroke; Jack Henderson - 5th 200 freestyle, 6th 50 backstroke; Linzi Sword - 4th 200 freestyle, 5th 50 backstroke; Kris Frobisher - 1st 50 breastroke, 2nd 50 backstroke, 2nd 100 IM; Hollie Baxter - 4th 50 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 6th 200 freestyle; Ryan Martin - 1st 50 breastroke, 100 IM, 50 fly; Lucy McGhee - 1st 100 IM, 2nd 50 freestyle, 5th 50 breastroke; Andrew MacDonald - 6th 50 fly; Tony Doogan - 6th 50 fly.

Cumbernauld’s older swimmers travelled to Ayr to take part in the West District sprints last weekend.
