Cumbernauld United come out top in local derby

TABLE-topping Kilsyth Rangers’ promotion race took a knock last night (Wednesday).

The Duncansfield side lost out on the points when they were defeated 2-0 by near neighbours Cumbernauld United.

United presently sit in ninth place in the Stagecoach West of Scotland Super League First Division and this will be a welcome boost to their efforts to haul themselves away from the relegation zone.
