Curlers play on Lanark Loch

THREE decades after their last experience of playing outdoors, members of Cambusnethan Curling Club again played in the open air at a frozen Lanark Loch.

Twelve members – the youngest being 17-year-old Scott Gibson – played on ice seven inches thick from 10am to 1.30pm on Monday December 27.

"Curling outdoors was almost like a once in a lifetime experience for us," said the Wishaw club's president Douglas MacKenzie (54, of Symington).
