Divers celebrate 40th birthday

A DIVING club which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year is looking for people to take a deep sea journey with them.

Thistle Divers is hoping to attract new members and boost its membership to 40 during the anniversary year.

organise dive trips throughout the year and provide a variety of courses to prepare divers for the underwater experience.

Committee member Margaret Rose Smith said: “The membership is at 36 just now but we’d love to increase it to 40 in honour of our 40th anniversary.

“We have lots going on in the club, it really is a fantastic organisation for anyone who is interested in diving.”
