Football legend Alex Ferguson gives us an exclusive interview

SCOTTISH football legend Sir Alex Ferguson had high praise for Kilsyth Rangers in an amazing exclusive interview with the News and Chronicle this week.

As we reported last week, Govan’s most famous son contacted the Duncansfield club to pass on his best wishes after viewing a copy of their groundbreaking Glory Days DVD.

So impressed was the Manchester United boss by the footage of Kilsyth’s 1955 Scottish Junior Cup final triumph at Hampden – shot by local man Alan Rennie – that he even sent a £500 donation to the club.

The News and Chronicle left a message for the Man United boss to get his thoughts on the DVD. And incredibly he called the office from Lisbon as his team prepared to fly back following their 1-1 Champions League draw with Benfica.
