He joined Rossvale’s Soccer Sevens and progressed with the team from 9s to 11s.

The teenager was then scouted by Hamilton FC under-13s, and after a successful trial period, signed a contract with them. He was first recognised by Scotland’s under-15s and made it to the squad.

Craig Quinn has been picked for Scotland under-15s having played with Rossvale FC since he was five-years-old.

The former Woodhill Primary pupil, who lives in Bearsden, joined Hamilton FC about two years ago with his brother Aiden.

Two local players will also be going to the SFAs Elite School.

Lewis Mayo (10) and Ewan Bennet (11) have gained places at the school.

Lewis joined Rossvale’s Soccer Academy at the age of six. Within a couple of months of playing Soccer Sevens, a number of senior clubs were beginning to show an interest in him.

At the age of 10, he signed as a Pro-Youth with Rangers and the defender is still with them.
