Albion came close to taking the lead when a free-kick took a deflection, but the Bully Wee found the net in the 24th minute, when Kevin Watt turned inside a defender and hammered the ball home for his first goal for the club.

McCluskey and Watt both came close to putting Clyde further ahead before half-time, and McCluskey was denied a penalty, when referee Roache waved his claims away.

The second half saw Clyde continuing to press forward and a Masterton low shot from 20 yards went close.

Albion began to look more dangerous towards the end of the game, a close-range effort coming off the bar before Jamie Barclay turned a low shot around the post.
