Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has been named the Scottish Premiership Glen’s Manager of the Month for the September and October after guiding his side to six league wins and one defeat as they opened a four-point gap at the top of the table.

The Australian picked up a sensational FIVE awards last season and was also crowned Glen’s Scottish Premiership Manager of the season for 2021/22 in May after the Parkhead club reclaimed the title from Glasgow rivals Rangers.

The Hoops picked up 18 points from a possible 21 played and scored 30 goals during September and October, with victories over Rangers, Motherwell, St. Johnstone, Hibernian, Hearts and Livingston.

Postecoglou told the club’s official website: “I have been really pleased again with the consistency we have shown across the period, delivering a really high level of performance with excellent results. As always, we have faced a number of stiff tests in games but have ensured that we have stuck to our own path, followed our own processes and achieved excellent results.

“I am particularly pleased that so many different players across the whole squad have contributed so much across these important games. Everyone at the Club again shares in this award and we now look forward to the remaining challenges before the break.”

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, commented: “This season is going to be different in terms of Glen’s Manager of the Month awards, given the break for the World Cup and the restricted league programme during September, but one thing that has not changed is Ange Postecoglou’s recent domination of this particular award.

“Celtic have had some tough Champions League fixtures to contend with over the past couple of months, but their league form has again been strong, and our voting panel were clear in their view that Ange and his coaching staff were worthy winners over the last two-month period.

“Significant wins over rivals Rangers, Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian have eased the disappointment of losing their 100 per cent league record at St. Mirren, and I send my congratulations once again to everyone at Celtic Park for what remains a tremendous start of the season.”
