'A difficult one' - Celtic boss delivers verdict on Hoops fans breaking Remembrance Sunday minute's silence
Brendan Rodgers has delivered his take on a section of Celtic fans disrupting the Rememberance Sunday minute's silence before their Scottish Premiership clash with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
Goals in either half from Callum McGregor and Nicolas Kuhn wrapped up another three points for the defending champions and lifted them back above Aberdeen at the summit on goal difference. Ahead of kick-off, the Hoops players joined clubs across the country in holding a moment of reflection.

That led the whistler to bring the moment of contemplation to an abrupt halt after less than 30 seconds.

Asked about the vocal stance from a number of Celtic fans and if those that wanted to observe the tribute to the fallen should have been allowed to, Rodgers told Sky Sports: “Yes, they should. If it's a minute's silence, it's a minute's silence.
“Of course there is a little bit of issue around that each year for us when you do that, but yeah it's always a difficult one that every year. But thankfully we get the win on the football side and thankfully we go into the break in a really good place.”
Assessing his side’s tough examination in Ayrshire, the Northern Irishman admitted: “It was very tough. Totally different games, more fighting football than what you’ve got to contend with but I thought the players were absolutely brilliant in how they had to defend pressure.

“Last year, we probably would’ve came here and lost a game like that. But we knew that with Derek having more time to prepare his team that guys would be motivated to play against us and that’s the way it was. We had to stand up to that and needed Kasper (Schmeichel) to make some good saves.”
