Celtic hero can't resist Rangers trolling after draw as he goes fishing with 'real challengers' message
The Celtic hero couldn’t resist a pop at Rangers.
A Celtic hero couldn’t help but get the fishing rod out after watching Rangers drop more points.
The Hoops finally have an out-and-out lead in the title race after Aberdeen’s loss to St Mirren, married with Brendan Rodgers’ side beating Hearts 4-1. Kyogo, Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah goals coasted them to a comfortable win and they now have a three-point gap on the Dons in second, and 11 on Rangers in third.
Philippe Clement’s side drew 1-1 with Dundee United at home to pile more pressure on the Belgian boss. It leaves Rangers well adrift in the race for glory and Celtic legend Chris Sutton was quick to social media to let them know about it.
Sutton said on X: “Phenomenal second half from Celtic. Kyogo’s movement excellent and Nicolas Kuhn looks absolutely quality. What a finish. Two goals will do the world of good for Adam Idah. 3 points clear of the real challengers Aberdeen… good point for Rangers in 3rd.”
On co-commentary duty for Sky Sports at the game, he expanded upon Kuhn’s strike high and fast into the net. Sutton said: “That is absolutely clinical from Nicolas Kuhn. From a Hearts free kick, Maeda heads it into Kuhn initially but the early pass back to Kuhn, he’s just thinking, ‘I’m putting my laces through this’ and boy, does he!
“That is a phenomenal finish. The pace beats Craig Gordon and Celtic, we felt, there were more levels to come in the second half. What a season he’s having.”
