The Celtic interview that told Roy Keane everything about Postecoglou's Tottenham and his possible kryptonite

The Man Utd icon spotted something at Celtic that tells him plenty about Tottenham.

Roy Keane knew one of Ange Postecoglou's Celtic strengths could be a Tottenham weakness - but he also knows the force it can carry.

The former Hoops boss is coming under fire south of the border with his Spurs side struggling with inconsistency. For every good performance against the likes of Man City and Aston Villa, they have lost to clubs at the wrong end of the table like Ipswich Town.

High-octane football is what Postecoglou enthralled Celtic fans with over his two years in charge, winning five out of a possible six trophies domestically, including two titles. Tottenham wanted a slice of the pie but the cynics who doubted how his heavy metal style would transcend to Tottenham have been back out in force.

Man Utd legend and former Celtic player Roy Keane has been talking about Postecoglou in the most recent Stick to Football episode. There was an interview from Postecoglou's time at Celtic that told him the strength and weakness that comes from the attack-minded style of play employed by Postecoglou.

He said: “But if you look at the manager, of course, you have to be flexible as a manager and change ways of playing, but his way of playing has got him to Spurs job. You look at his CV, he’s saying it’s got me to where I am.

“When he was up at Celtic, obviously they were winning the games most weeks. When they played European games, when they played some big teams, I saw his interviews and he said, ‘I’m not changing’. And that was when they were playing really good teams.

“So that’s it. So that’s part of his strength, maybe a bit of a weakness.”
