Celtic stretched their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table to four points at the weekend after Aberdeen were held to a 1-1 draw by relegation-threatened Hearts. The Hoops remain the only club yet to lose a single match this season after they enjoyed another win — a 5-0 demolition of Ross County on home soil.
With just weeks left of 2024, we are quickly approaching a new year and the opening of the winter transfer window. As of January 1st, clubs will once again be able to buy and sell players in deals they feel will give them a boost for the remainder of the season.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have been linked with players who will bolster their squad, particularly in the Champions League, but Neil Lennon doesn’t believe Eriksen would be the right fit at Parkhead.
Speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest SPFL odds, Lennon said: “With the talent Celtic have at their disposal at the moment, I’m not sure that Christian Eriksen would get into the team. He is a classy player and always has been, but I’m not sure who he would come in to replace. You’d have to consider the wages he’d want as well. I can’t see it happening and I’m not sure it would suit the club at the moment.”
One player the former Celtic boss is pleased with though, is Adam Idah. After a successful loan spell from Norwich City, the Hoops were heavily linked with bringing the 23-year-old to Glasgow permanently. Celtic eventually agreed a full-time move with the Canaries, in a deal worth £9.5 million.
“Adam Idah has been great,” Lennon continued. “You know that when Brendan Rodgers needs him to start he will be a physical presence, being strong and fast as well as being able to score. He understands his role in the squad and knows he will be important going forward, he scored a beauty at the weekend and I really like him as a player.
