Rangers and Celtic in transfer race with West Ham for menacing striker who's been compared to Alan Shearer

Rangers and Celtic have both been linked with making a move for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson in the January transfer window - alongside West Ham and others.
The £60m-rated striker has been made available for in the upcoming market, TBR report. It’s suggested that Rangers and Celtic have both ‘expressed an interest’ in taking him to the Scottish football.

Hide AdWest Ham, Southampton, Leicester and Fulham are keen, as per the reports. There is also interest from interest from clubs in Spain, France, Italy and Germany and Brighton want assurances from whoever takes their prestigious talent that he will play.
Celtic have Kyogo and Adam Idah in attack while Rangers have Cyriel Dessers, Danilo and Hamza Igamane to spearhead attacks. Speaking after he signed his new deal at Brighton in 2023, technical director and former Rangers defender David Weir said: “Evan is a brilliant young talent and we are delighted for him.
“He’s shown his ability at club and international level, after breaking into the team at the start of the year, and we are looking forward to working with him and watching his continued progress.”
Celtic legend Chris Sutton compared him to a certain England legend and Newcastle United icon in 2023. He said on the BBC: “He reminds me of a young Alan Shearer. That’s what I see when I look at Evan Ferguson. I had the best seat in the house to watch Alan score a bundle of goals for Blackburn.
“The natural feel to his finishing, his physicality, his positioning. Ferguson is only 18 but already he is displaying the attributes which made Alan a total menace for Premier League defenders.”
