Rangers rivals ‘won’t give up’ on transfer snub attempt

After already agreeing pre-contract terms with Lyall Cameron, Rangers are targeting another Dundee star ahead of the summer transfer window. Josh Mulligan is the second player on the radar and talks have reportedly already been held between the two parties, but nothing has been finalised just yet.

Dundee manager is eager to keep Mulligan on the books, though, especially as he is one of their most improved players and is receiving a lot of attention.

“We won’t give up hope of Josh staying because you always want to keep your best players,” Docherty said, via Record Sport.

“We started the season with Luke McCowan, Cameron and Mulligan and all three have improved so much, they’re attracting attention. It’s important that’s what we do at this club – improve and develop players.

“It’s great to see players do well and for as long as Josh is with us, we’ll continue to work with him. Hopefully we’re working with him for longer.”

Out of favour Celtic ace makes big statement

Loaned out Celtic midfielder Odin Thiago Holm is looking for a resurgence at Parkhead once he returns from the United States. The 22-year-old was sent out on loan with MLS side Los Angeles FC in January until the end of the year and he is already looking ahead to his return and the potential impact he can have.

Despite having limited time on the pitch for the Hoops and struggling with injuries this season, Holm is eager to attack his chances back in Glasgow once his loan terms in the States expire.

Speaking to The Celtic Way, Holm said: “I still want to go back to Celtic and play, that’s the goal. I signed a new contract before I left for LA. The aim is still to come back and be successful for Celtic and win trophies, just like the current team.

“I am confident in my own ability to do that, and I still see my future at Celtic. I just need to get consistency in the work that I do.

“I have struggled with some injuries up until now, but I came to Los Angeles to play and to gain experience and to gain consistency and make myself ready for when I return to Celtic and be part of the team. I am contracted to the club until 2028, and there is still time to make my mark.”
