Clyde secure Waters services until end of season
Waters, originally brought in on a month-long emergency deal, became an instant hero with the Bully Wee faithful on Saturday with a vital penalty save which earned a potentially crucial win over League 2 table toppers Elgin City at Broadwood.
The match was due to mark the end of Waters’ loan, to cover a suspension to regular ’keeper John Gibson, but after the match the 19-year-old expressed an interest in extending his stay.

Any decision had to wait until Clyde boss Barry Ferguson returned from Spain where he was completing his UEFA Pro Licence coaching badges.
However the club have now confirmed that Waters, who has featured in seven matches so far, will be at Broadwood until the end of the season with Ferguson quick to praise Thistle for their co-operation.
He told the club website: “Marc’s done very well for us and we will have really healthy competition for the goalkeeper’s jersey until the end of the season now.

“I always say that no one is guaranteed a place in the team and we’ve now got two really good ‘keepers going for the position.
“I’d like to thank Alan Archibald and Paul Gallacher at Partick Thistle for their input into the deal. They are both very easy people to deal with and I appreciate that.”
