Clyde win, Kilsyth come out on top in local junior derby with Cumbernauld

CLYDE sit second top of the Third Division table today after their fine single-goal victory over Montrose at Broadwood.

In an entertaining match, the Bully Wee got the goal their play deserved minutes into the second half, after Liam Cusack’s superb low cross was turned into the net by Stephen McDonald from close range.

In the local junior derby, Kilsyth Rangers came out on top over home side Cumbernauld United, with Francis Kelly’s strike the only goal of the match.

And in the amateur game, Kilsyth went down - again by a single goal - away to Colville Park, barel;y two minutes before the end of a hard-fought match.
