Caledonian Braves boss Ricky Waddell seeks run in Scottish Cup but faces Clachnaccudin test
“It’s exciting for us,” Ricky told the Times and Speaker.
“Normally we go into round one, but it is the second prelim round that all the Lowland and Highland league clubs go into this year due to the virus situation with the congested fixture list.
“But it doesn’t matter – it’s the Scottish Cup.
“It’s a chance to come away from the league and, in a one-off cup tie, try and progress.

Hide Ad“It gives the opportunity for the players and the club to get a bit of spotlight, but we have to do it on Saturday.
“I’m sure Clachnacuddin will be thinking the same as well.
“I think they have about eight new players this season. I think they are quite young and energetic.
“Highland League sides we’ve played in the past have been very strong and aggressive. It’s about ourselves and how we apply ourselves.
“It’s good exposure for the clubs if we can get beyond round two, round three when the bigger teams like Motherwell come in.”
