The Czechs – fielding a vastly weakened side due to Covid-19 in their camp – took a shock early lead through Jakub Pesek, but Scotland saved face by winning thanks to goals by Lyndon Dykes and a Ryan Christie penalty.

Scotland now top League B/Group 2 of the tournament with four points from their two games and are now unbeaten in five matches under Steve Clarke.

But there was a bad night for former ’Well manager Ian Baraclough – now Northern Ireland boss – as his side crashed 5-1 against Norway in a Group B1 clash in Belfast.

’Well keeper Trevor Carson was an unused sub for the Green Army.

Motherwell ace Allan Campbell was in Lithuania with the Scotland Under 21 side for tonight's qualifying match, joined by ex-Well pair David Turnbull and James Scott.

Their Fir Park team-mate Harry Robinson is also in contention to feature for Northern Ireland’s Under 21 side as they host Denmark.
