’Well midfielder Liam Polworth, an unused sub for Inverness Caledonian Thistle when they won the 2015 Scottish Cup final 2-1 against Falkirk at Hampden in Glasgow, is keen on a similar run with the Steelmen in Scotland’s other national cup competition.

“I’m definitely relishing the prospect of a cup run,” Polworth said.

“I think at the start of every season, everyone looks at the cups and thinks there is obviously a real opportunity.

“Over the years, it’s been shown that teams outside the Old Firm can go all the way and win it, like we proved.

“When you see the games come out, obviously to get a home tie is an added bonus as well. Hopefully, we can get through the tie and then that gives us a real shot.

“Rangers seem to be putting in some big scorelines ,but it’s always tough against either side of the Old Firm.

“We’ll only be looking to Saturday, hoping we can put in a good performance, get through that round and then we’ll see where it takes us.”
