Star performer for the visitors was Ryan Deas who was behind everything Kilsyth did, starting with an attempt to score from the kick-off.

That went wide and Deas also had another couple of attempts from distance without really troubling Perry in the Ants goal.

The home side were lucky to keep 11 men on the field when Conway pulled Sawyers down on the edge of the box but the referee decided a yellow card was enough. Deas hit the free-kick but it was blocked by the wall.

The home side took a shock lead when Chris Reid was adjudged to have fouled Fowler in the box and Omar beat Marc Waters from the spot.

This seemed to spur Kilsyth into action and Deas, Gavin Mackie, Johnston and Sawyers all came close before Deas levelled the game with another fantastic strike from the edge of the box after good work from Sawyers.

Kilsyth thought they were going into the interval ahead when an Eadie header flew past Perry but the 'goal' was ruled out for offside despite Kilsyth claims that a defender had headed the ball to him.

Kilsyth started the second half with real intent and went in front within a minute of the restart; Chris Reid sent a header towards goal and Stephen McGarrigle put it past his own keeper.

Kilsyth were now in control and played some lovely football with Deas again at the heart of it.

Deas got his second with another long range strike, this time with his left foot from about 22 yards.

The home side never offered much in an attacking sense in the second half and it was just a case of how many Kilsyth would score. The fourth came with 16 minutes left on the clock as a Mackie free kick was bundled home by Reid.

The scoring was rounded off when Gary Stewart netted his first goal for Kilsyth, converting David Aubrey's low cross from close range at the back post.
