The Gers also played Clydebank on Monday night in the Central League Cup quarter-final but lost 5-2, throwing the team’s attentions firmly back on league business.

“The Clydebank game showed us what we could be up against next season if we get promoted but, we’ve got six games with no distractions and we just need to win as many points from them as possible and see what the other teams can do,” he said.
Meanwhile Cumbernauld battled back from 3-0 with 15 mins to go against Girvan to win 4-3 at the weekend.
