A last-minute equaliser for Shotts denied United a great victory at Hannah Park on Saturday.

Against the elements in the first half the Cumbernauld boys were magnificent and, if chances had been taken, would have turned round more than one goal ahead.

As luck would have it the wind and rain eased after the interval, Shotts improved considerably, and snatched an equalising goal right at the end of an interesting match.

This Saturday United travel to Maybole to face the local Juniors. Earlier in the season the Cumbernauld team were held to a non-scoring draw in the Scottish Junior Cup second round at Maybole before winning the replay at Guy’s Meadow.

The Cumbernauld United Supporters’ Club bus for Maybole will leave Guy’s Meadow at 11.25 a.m. and the town centre at 11.30 a.m.
