Mixed fortunates for local football sides

THERE were mixed fortunes for Cumbernauld and Kilsyth district football teams at the weekend.

Clyde made an early exit from the William Hill Scottish Cup, going down 2-1 to Montrose in the second round.

Cumbernauld United were also on the receiving end of a defeat when they were thrashed 4-0 by Renfrew in a Stagecoach West of Scotland League First Division match at Guy’s Meadow.
