They were two up after 15 minutes, with both McRae and Oliver scoring.

But the Hares lost their way at the start of the second half and allowed Greenock the chance to get back into the game, with a goal.

Harestanes re-established their two goal gap with another headed corner from McRae, however, more poor defending allowed Greenock in with two quick goals in the dying minutes, causing extra-time.

McClure scored the first in extra-time from a cross by Marshall. Two more by goals saw the Hares look comfortable winners.

Last Thursday, Harestanes made the long journey to Carluke for an eight o’clock kick-off in the Cinema Cup semi-final against Colville Park, which they lost 4-3.

The, on Saturday, they faced Wellhouse in the final of the M&M Trophy.

Wellhouse took the lead in the fourth minute, but Harestanes quickly equalised through Marshall.

But after this it was all Wellhouse. Slack defending gave them a run in on the keeper and they went 2-1 up.

And they put another away before half-time with a shot from the eighteen yard line.

At the start of the second half Wellhouse scored two in 10 minutes to clinch a well-deserved victory all in all.
