When it comes to Celtic and Rangers handing new signings just ONE opportunity to make the grade at first-team level, only to never feature again - there has been plenty of cases over the years.
Just last week Rangers allowed Polish defender Mateusz Zukowski to depart for Slask Wroclaw. The right-back was signed for decent money to provide fierce competition for Ibrox captain James Tavernier that never materialised.
In fact, Zukowski would make just one appearance for the club... and than got us thinking how many Old Firm one-hit wonders have there been in both club’s history?
GlasgowWorld has looked back through the years to identify 10 players who joined either Celtic or Rangers and would go on to make a solitary first-team appearance before fading into obscurity:

5. Marvin Compper (Celtic)
A Brendan Rodgers signing, the German central defender had been capped internationally but made just one start in a 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Morton in March 2018. Allowed to leave to sign for MSV Duisburg where he moved into coaching. Had a spell as assiatant manager to fellow German Markus Gisdol at Lokomotiv Moscow. | SNS Group

6. Remie Streete (Rangers)
One of FIVE Newcaslte United loanees to arrive at Ibrox in 2015 when Mike Ashley held a large share in Rangers, the defender lasted just 45 minutes before limping off at half-time during a Championship match against Raith Rovers. 7. Chic Charnley (Celtic)

8. Moses Ashikodi (Rangers)
A January 2006 signing for Rangers following a successful trial period, the Nigerian-born striker had to wait until the end of April that season to make what turned out to be his only first-team appearance - as a substitute during an Old Firm derby against Celtic.
