Stuart Maxwell’s side haven’t played since their win at Pollok on December 12, due to a combination of postponements and the festive break.

And the Rabs boss admits that it’s been a frustrating time as he looks to build on his side’s encouraging start to the season which has seen them lose just once in the Super League so far.

He said: “We’ve been training hard and we’ve had a few injuries which have had extra time to heal.

“I know we also won at Pollok after a lay-off but it’s far from ideal because it’s difficult to get that continuity you need.

“But everyone’s in the same boat and we just have to get on with it.”

Rob Roy’s season began with a 2-0 away win over Saturday’s opponents Glenafton but the Rob Roy boss says the Ayrshire side have picked up since.

He said: “They didn’t have the best of starts but they have changed things around and are on a good run just now. They are probably the form team in the league along with ourselves.

“We’re still just taking things game by game and if we can get three more wins that should be us out of the woods in terms of any relegation threat.”

Kirkintilloch Rob Roy 01s (under-15s) are looking for experienced players, offering a good opportunity to also progress towards the amateur and junior teams.
