Rangers sent crashing out of Scottish Cup
If ever a team was the architect of their own downfall then it was Rangers in this game.
Conceding a penalty in the first few seconds and another within 10 minutes sealed their fate and they never
looked like overcoming a decent Camelon outfit,

Hide AdCamelon broke right from the kick-off and a clumsy tackle by Kevin McBride brought down Jamie Glasgow as he entered the Rangers area for a clear penalty which Glasgow sent into to the corner of the net,
Worse was to come in 10 minutes when a David Waters foul resulted in another spot-kick and Glasgow again found the net behind Andy Carlin.
Rangers tried to come back and for a while they had more of the play but Camelon coped well.
The closest they came was when Willie Easton was right through on David Kane but the ’keeper stuck out a
foot to block the shot.

Easton walked away with the ball when a free-kick was awarded against him and received a yellow card, followed by a red for a remark to the referee.
And from the resulting free-kick David Grant ran in to make it 3-0 for Camelon.
In recent weeks at Duncansfield there have been goals on either side of the break and this was no exception as, within a minute of the restart, Gary Wright added a fourth with a cracking shot from a wide left position.

Barclay was pulled down by Kane and scored with the resulting penalty.
They kept plugging away for a second goal and did have a few good efforts with Corey Pearson and Paul McBride coming cclose, but Camelon ran out worthy winners.
The league is now the main target with a visit from leaders Largs Thistle scheduled for this Saturday.
