‘Unhappy’ Rangers star could ‘push’ for summer exit as Danny Rohl ultimatum given
Danny Rohl could be given a decision to make as Bojan Miovski is reportedly ‘unhappy’ at Rangers
Bojan Miovski is approaching a potential crossroads in his Rangers tenure less than 12 months after joining the club.
The striker is said to be ‘unhappy’ with his current situation under Danny Rohl, as he is finding regular game time hard to come by. Miovski was left on the bench for the Gers’ latest win over Hearts, and he made a four-minute cameo appearance against Motherwell prior to that.
With starts not guaranteed, the 26-year-old ‘may push’ for a move away from Rangers once the summer transfer window opens, if he remains a fringe player under Rohl.
Bojan Miovski could push for Rangers exit this summer
According to Football Insider, Miovski is ‘currently unhappy’ with his role at Ibrox and ‘may push’ to leave the club if he remains an irregular player under Rohl.
The German boss, who arrived in Glasgow to replace Russell Martin in October, has preferred to use Ryan Naderi and Youssef Chermiti in recent weeks. The latter scored a stunning hat-trick against Hearts last weekend to bank a huge three points from the Scottish Premiership leaders and close the gap in this thrilling title race.
Miovski arrived at Ibrox with the vision of becoming Rangers’ main number nine but he is now ‘ready to evaluate his options’ if his amount of minutes on the pitch don’t increase.
These coming weeks will be telling for the likes of Miovski, as Rohl will look to rely on those he trusts the most. Rangers are now just two points behind Hearts in the Premiership table and will be pushing to take the top spot. They cannot afford any slip-ups in this title battle, as Celtic are also in pursuit of Hearts’ position.
If Miovski continues to operate as a fringe player at Rangers, it could force him out the door in the summer. It’s a significant ultimatum for Rohl, who will only want to field his best 11 for the rest of the season.
