The Scotland under-21 international impressed again for the Steelment during their 3-0 loss to the Parkhead side on Sunday and with the club in a strong financial position, Rodgers has been told to snap up the teenager despite the midfield area arguably being one of their strongest positions.
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, Grant admitted: “I said to you last year I thought he should have gone to the Euro finals, Lennon Miller. I thought Celtic, Rangers for signing him, for sure. He’s more than capable of playing in those teams, and I agree, he’s more than capable of playing in the Celtic team or the Rangers team at this moment in time.

“I genuinely think, a bit like Luke McCowan, if you go to Celtic it’s up to to grab it. It doesn’t matter where you came from. I know he’s only 18 years of age and you’ve got to learn the European games but you can only learn when you’re involved in them.”

Miller was first linked with the Scottish champions almost 12 months ago after his breakthrough season at Fir Park. At just 18, he remains one of the hottest young prospects in Scottish football and has amassed over 50 first-team appearances for the Steelmen.
Capped 16 times at youth level for Scotland, Miller undoubtedly has a bright future ahead of him. With that in mind, GlasgowWorld takes a look at what has been been said about Miller moving to one of Glasgow’s big two.
Michael Stewart: “Lennon Miller is a quality player. At Motherwell, there is a ceiling price in terms of what would be paid. In a couple of years time, say he was playing in a different country or a different league, that value is going to be through the roof I would imagine.”

Barry Ferguson: “Talking from a Rangers point of view, young Lennon Miller. I think he’s ready. The boy’s ready to go and play, there’s no doubt about it and if I’m Rangers, I’m all over the top of that.”
