Former Aberdeen star and Rangers academy player Lewis Ferguson has spoken on his admiration for the Gers - stating that he has ‘always been a Rangers fan’.
The 25-year-old Bologna man recently name dropped Rangers as one of his favourite clubs, as well as Chelsea. He named Blues legend Frank Lampard as an ‘idol’ of his during his formative years and said that is it his ‘dream’ to play in the Premier League.

Hide AdIn an interview in Italy, he spoke on the departures of former Bologna teammates Joshua Zirkzee and Riccardo Calafiori, who signed for Manchester United and Arsenal in the summer transfer window respectively. Ferguson spent time in Rangers’ academy as a youngster between the years of 2009 and 2013. Despite this, he never made a senior team appearance for the Light Blues - instead, the Scottish international would go on to make his debut for Hamilton Academical in 2017, before making the jump to Aberdeen.
During his stint with the Dons, Ferguson’s career began to take off. He made 132 Scottish Premiership appearances Aberdeen, scoring an impressive 27 goals along the way from the heart of midfield.
